Field Camping FAQ’s

How do I keep my food cold when camping?

We have a full sized fridge and freezer on site available for shared use.  You can re-freeze your cool blocks or chill/freeze your food.  All of the camping pitches have electric hook up, so you are able to bring your camping fridge or cool box.

Do I need to bring my own drinking water?

All water on site is safe and suitable for drinking.  You do not need to bring water with you.

Can I book for a group?

Yes! Our campsite is perfect for group getaways and family reunions. We offer group booking options and details on reserving multiple units or the entire site. Check our booking page for more information, or contact Carolyn to discuss your needs..

How far do I need to walk to collect water for my camping pitch?

No distance at all!  All of our camping pitches, both the woodland ones and the field view pitches, have their own tap.  All water on site is safe for drinking.

Is electricity included in the camping pitch price?

Yes!  All camping pitches have electric hook up and use is included in our price.

Can I have a campfire?

Yes.  We love a campfire!  Every camping pod and pitch has a space for a campfire.  Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits within your pitch. Firewood is not included, but you can purchase fire logs for £6 per net when you book or via our honesty shop.

Can I walk to the pub?

Yes. It’s a lovely countryside walk to Red Lion at Revesby.  This walk took us just less than an hour to talk the 4.5km/2.8 miles.  We didn’t dawdle, neither did we power walk!  80% of the walk was on tarmac or hard track.  The grassy part of the walk was easily travelled despite the crazy amount of rain we’d recently had.  I walked the route in just my trainers.  By following this route you an avoid the fast moving B1183/Boston Road with no pavements.  At the very end of the route, cross the A155 as there is a pavement on the other side of the road.

You can follow our suggested route on Strava here

Can I have a BBQ?

Yes.  Each glamping pod and camping pitch has a firepit for a campfire.  But you are welcome to bring your own BBQ.  Please keep the BBQ either over the firepit or off the ground to prevent scorching.

What is the latest arrival time?

You can arrive any time after 2pm.  We don’t put a “latest time” restriction.  We just ask that if you are arriving late then you are mindful of other guests.  Also depending on the time of year the site might be rather dark.  Keep a torch handy!.

How many tents can I have on one pitch?

Each pitch is for one tent only.  If you’re camping with friends or family in separate tents, you’ll need to book one pitch per unit. This keeps the site peaceful and ensures everyone has enough space.  We will always do our best that your pitches are next to one another.
