If you’ve visited us before, you may already be familiar with Folly Lane.

Charming? Yes.
Rural? Absolutely.
A little… character-building on the way in? Well, yes.

Over the years, Folly Lane has done its fair share of rattling cups, testing suspension, and reminding us all that we’re very much in the countryside. But we’re pleased (and slightly relieved) to say that things are now looking a lot smoother.

Out with the bumps, in with the smooth

The lane leading down to our Glamping Pods and Woodland Camping areas has recently been resurfaced, making the journey in far gentler on cars, caravans and your nerves!

No more carefully weaving around potholes.
No more wondering if that noise was the road or something important falling off the car.
Just a calm, easy drive that gently sets the tone for the peaceful stay ahead.

But don’t worry, Folly Lane hasn’t lost its countryside charm. You’ll still be surrounded by open fields, hedgerows, and that wonderful feeling of leaving the busy world behind. It’s just that now, you’ll arrive feeling relaxed rather than ready for a cup of tea and a lie down.

Whether you’re heading down to pitch up in the woodland, settle into a glamping pod, or enjoy a quiet break under the stars, getting here is now part of the pleasure rather than part of the adventure. We’ve added a few photos below to show the transformation, from “mind the dip” to “that was lovely”.
